Genevieve Avis Kelley, 90, died on April 30, 2024, in Lampasas.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on May 8 from 10-11:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa at noon.

Genevieve was born in Kempner on May 14, 1933, to Charlie and Amanda (Broadway) Cook.

Attending church and her faith were a big part of her life. She was the kind of person who always made sure everyone had what they needed and was willing to help in any way she could. She was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed everyone coming to her house each year for Christmas Eve. She also enjoyed gardening and maintaining her lawn.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lawrence Kelley; brothers Joe Cook and Clifford Cook; and her sisters Millie Lemaster and Laverne Beavers.

Survivors include her sons Dennis Kelley, Dale Kelley and Barry Kelley; siblings Janice Simpson and Edwin Cook; grandchildren Travis Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Adam Kelley and Scott Stinson; nine greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
